MISSION

The specific purpose of the corporation is to provide support services to wrongfully accused and convicted indigent inmates and their families. Additionally to supply support services to indigent inmates that have served their sentences.

Situations and cases are screened and investigated to determine whether or not they are actual “Wrongful Convictions.” If the foundation believes that the case has validity and has a good chance for the exoneration of the inmate, and the inmate is indigent, funds can be provided to pay for or supplement service cost.

These services include but are not limited to legal, expert, forensic and other cost involved in providing the inmate with exoneration related services.

The Foundation also provides service to assist the inmates families, if determined that they are suffering as a result of a possible wrongful conviction. These service can include but are not limited to food, clothing, assistance in utility bill payments, or shelter.

The Foundation can assist an exonerated inmate in reestablishing themselves after release from a wrongful incarceration.

The Foundation runs on Donations, Fundraisers, Grants, and other forms of Charity or giving. The Foundation does not participate in lobbying or support of any political candidate.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN “FOR THE INNOCENT RESOLUTIONS” (FTIR) AND “C. J. FORD JUSTICE FOUNDATION” (CJFJF)

For The Innocent Resolutions is a division of C. J. Ford Private Investigations and is a sole proprietor, profit organization that provides investigative services. The majority of these services are payment arrangement or Pro bono for indigent clients. The C. J. Ford Justice Foundation is a “nonprofit” Corporation that provides other out sourced services unrelated to “FTIR” to Indigent inmates and their families. It is completely funded by donations, grants, and fundraisers. The services provided by CJFJF are legal, experts, DNA testing, and family support service.

If you want to donate to FTIR, your donation will go to investigative services to indigent inmates and finding resolutions to their FTIR cases. The donation is NOT tax deductible. If you donate to CJFJF it is for out sourced services and your donation is tax deductible.

Revenue from the CJFJF does not go to FTIR because these are two entire different structured entities and corporate law prohibits this. So if you donate to either organizations you need to be specific as to which one you are donating to. FTIR is for investigative services to Indigent inmates and CJFJF is for out sourced Indigent inmate services.
